Ministry |
| At
UBC we strive to worship God in "Spirit and Truth".
We have a blended style of worship that relates to all ages.
We believe that worship is one the great tools that God uses
to prepare our heart to hear from God. We have wonderful choir
and praise team that leads us every week. Praise team practice
is at 4:30 and choir practice starts at 5:30 on Sunday nights.
We also have several people who assist our sound and media ministry.

| Children's
Ministries |
| At
UBC we believe that children are just not the future of the
church. We believe that they can make an impact for the kingdom
of God right now. We have Children's Church (ages 3-Kindergarten)
every Sunday at 10:45. This offers the pre-school children a
place where they can learn about Christ in their own setting.
We also have mission groups that meet on Sunday Nights at 6:30.
During this time, our children will learn about missionaries,
Christian service, and also practice for seasonal children's
musicals. Starting in September of 2006 we will start AWANA
on Wednesday Nights at 6:45. As you can see, children are one
the focal points our ministry. Nursery is also provided for
all our services. |
| Youth
Ministry (6th-12th Grade) |
| At
UBC we have a very active youth ministry. They meet every Sunday
and Wednesday Night to study the Word of God and fellowship
with each other. They take regular trips and are very involved
in all aspects of the ministry of UBC. |
| College
Ministry |
| At
UBC we care about college students. God has strategically placed
us within 1 mile from Roanoke Chowan Community College and 12
miles of Chowan University. We are striving to become a church
that relates and ministers to this group of people. In 2005
we started a 360 Service every Wednesday night just for college
students. We were able to see God do many great things through
this service. We have a Sunday School class that is designed
for them that meets every Sunday morning at 9:45. The college
ministry also takes regular trips for fellowship. |
| VIP
(Very Important People) Ministry |
| At
UBC we are thankful for our senior adults who have given so
many faithful years of service to Christ and UBC. Our senior
adult ladies meet on the second Tuesday of each month for the
Baptist Women study. There are lunches planned occasionally
for a time of fellowship. We are truly grateful for each one. |
| Sunday
School |
| At
UBC we want to "Equip the Saints" for ministry. One
of primary tools to accomplish this is Sunday School. We have
classes for each age group including two couple’s classes.
Our prayer is that each class will provide a place for up close
and personal fellowship as well as a place of learning in a
small group setting. |
